As you know, a lot has changed since you were last at Big Splash Waterpark and we’re all adjusting to the impacts of COVID-19.

To ensure that all our valued visitors have a fun filled time with us in a safe environment, we have developed a COVID-19 plan and implemented changes to our operating procedures.

We have obtained approval and certification regarding operations of Big Splash Waterpark from the ACT Government. Under our COVID-19 Plan we have been granted maximum Occupancy of 1,250 visitors, at this stage.

In order to comply with key health and safety measures surrounding the COVID-19 ACT requirements, a visit to Big Splash Waterpark has changed. There are important changes for you to know before your visit us this year.

We have provided below an outline of our COVID-19 procedures relating to aspects from your Arrival to Departure. Should you have any queries or have a specific requirement, please reach out to us at info@bigsplashwaterpark.com.au and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Waterpark Entry

1. COVID-19 Compliance: In order to comply with key health and safety measures surrounding the COVID-19 ACT requirements, a visit to Big Splash Waterpark has changed.

2. Session Bookings: Guests will be required to register for the date and session time they wish to visit the park. We recommend advance bookings through our new online ticketing system (available from our website in mid-November) to avoid disappointment. If the session time you wish to visit is not listed in our online calendar, we may have already reached our occupancy limit, in which case you will need to choose another session.

3. Cashless Venue: Big Splash Waterpark will be a cashless venue. Only Payments via EFTPOS will be accepted, at this stage.

4. Park Entry:

a. You should not enter the park if you have travelled overseas or visited an Australian COVID-19 Hotspot within the last 14 days.

b. You should not enter the park if you are awaiting a COVID-19 test result or have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days.

c. All those wishing to enter may be required to have their temperatures checked before entering the park.

d. Any person with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher, or displaying other symptoms of COVID-19, will be denied entry.

e. If you have a fever or are displaying any other symptoms of COVID-19 please to stay at home.

Arrival at Big Splash

1. Session Bookings: Entry tickets purchased online will be scanned and confirmed at Big Splash reception. Visitors who have not booked online may be able to purchase an entry ticket at the reception. However this will be subject to occupancy availability.

2. Social Distancing: We ask visitors to maintain social distancing requirements while entering the park. Separate entry and exit points have been established.

3. Entry/Exit: Once in the park, it is expected that all visitors will remain during the session. Multiple entries and exits will be limited to ensure we maintain occupancy compliance.

4. CBR Code: The CBR App QR Code will be provided to register entry to the Waterpark. Online booking will capture information and will not require using the CBR code.

During your stay

1. Social Distancing: We request our visitors to practice social distancing while in the park. Social distancing signs and hand sanitizer stations will be displayed throughout the Waterpark along with 1.5m distancing markers at the main entry/exit, restaurant entry/exit, slide lines, stairs and top of slides.

2. Change Rooms: The change rooms will be open for use however showers will be unavailable, at this stage. We request customers shower before visiting the park.

3. Cashless Venue: Big Splash Waterpark will be a cashless venue. Only Payments via EFTPOS will be accepted, at this stage.

4. Restaurant: Self-serve beverage and hot food stations will not be used. All cutlery will come packaged.

5. Sanitising Stations: Stations are located throughout the park and COVID-19 compliance staff will be patrolling and cleaning the facility.

6. Symptoms: If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 during your visit to the park, please advise a staff member and we will assist with departure from park and provide details of the closest testing facility. Park Cleaning & Hygiene

1. Cleaning: The Waterpark will undergo deep cleaning of all rides and touch points on a daily basis. There will also be cleaning between sessions focusing on frequently touched surfaces. Bathroom facilities will be sanitized on a bi-hourly basis covering but not restricted to all touch points: Taps, basins, handles. Spot checks during the sessions will also be implemented.

2. Sanitization: Sanitisation stations will be establish throughout the park, particularly at entry and exit points and in change rooms. The stations will be monitored and regularly refilled as part of the cleaning process.

3. Designated staff: will be rostered to maintain cleaning standards, complete Hygiene Checklists and visually check that social distancing is being adhered to as they patrol the park.
